Signs of/for Peace?

On the anniversary of the war, the BBC runs the history of the US and UK peace sign, which started as a symbol for nuclear disarmament:
And back in Chicago, my family and fellow congregants take to the streets with their own peace signs:

Great post. Nice to know the history of the peace symbol. Nuclear disarmament is a good cause to call home as far as symbols go. Very good.
And getting your family to protest with you (or coming from a family of protesters) is sweet
